Building on Success, Painting a Brighter Future
2024 was a pivotal year for Safintra Rwanda, marked by initiatives to recapture market share, diversify offerings, and strengthen its position as a leading Building Solutions provider. Navigating supply chain complexities while seizing market opportunities, the company’s leadership demonstrated agility and foresight.
Painting a Path to Growth
A key focus in 2024 was increasing painted roofing sheet volumes. Recognizing rising demand for aesthetically pleasing, durable solutions, the company streamlined raw material sourcing to stay competitive. This move resulted in an impressive 54% year-over-year growth in the painted segment.
Beyond painted sheets, Safintra Rwanda expanded its value sales pipeline, emphasizing Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), and building accessories. To ensure consistent product availability, the company optimised inventory management, minimizing stock-outs and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Market visibility was another priority. New showrooms in Musanze and Nyamata strengthened the company’s presence in key districts, boosting customer engagement and order bookings.
Navigating Challenges
Safintra Rwanda faced hurdles, including an extended 75-day supply lead time for raw materials. A meticulous monthly review of stock levels, aligned with projected demand, helped maintain optimal inventory. Timely project execution was another priority. We built strong subcontractor partnerships and maintained adequate stock to meet deadlines.
Highlighting Success
The 54% growth in the painted segment underscores the success of Safintra Rwanda’s strategic approach. Additionally, the strong PEB pipeline positioned us for continued success in 2025.
