Our overarching responsibility is to provide a cyber-safe environment for the operation of all our digital applications. This entails managing a cybersecurity operations center where we diligently monitor, analyse, and promptly respond to cyber threats. As a team we are genuinely enthusiastic about continuing to improve the organisation’s security posture.
My primary responsibility revolves around maintaining machine availability within the MRM service centers in Kenya, with a goal of ensuring that downtime does not go beyond 72 hours per week. Additionally, our team focuses on optimising energy usage. This has been exemplified by our adoption of LED lighting, which has resulted in a two-thirds reduction in energy consumption.
In my day to day activities, I ensure that the stone-coated tiles meet required standards and specifications. I ensure that the entire production process from preparation, coating, curing, quality inspection and packaging is done as per the set standards.
As a Quality Assurance Officer, I ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and consistency, delivering premium results that exceed expectations.
One aspect of my role as a receptionist at MRM that I particularly enjoy is being the initial point of contact for customers, colleagues, and other relations. Engaging with customers allows me to demonstrate MRM’s commitment to being a customer-friendly and welcoming organisation.
As a digital communications practitioner, my foremost responsibility is to position MRM as the leading Building Solutions provider in the market. I achieve this by ensuring maximum brand visibility across the digital landscape.
My role involves facilitating smooth cash flow through collection of payment to ensure that the company is able to meet its obligations on time. I engage with customers through account reconciliations and account management, nurturing strategic relationships between them and MRM.
In my role as a Sewerage Treatment Technician, I am responsible for processing sewerage for the utilization in our restrooms and rainwater for our gardening needs. This initiative saves a minimum of 10,000 liters of water daily for MRM.
As the Maintenance Manager, I am responsible for overseeing maintenance operations across MRM, SBS, and all our service centers. Additionally, I provide leadership and guidance to the maintenance team in carrying out tasks and projects effectively. At MRM, my primary role is to ensure that all machinery is well-maintained and operational to support production activities.
In my role as Operations Manager, I oversee manufacturing operations which include Roll forming, Stone Coated products, Insulated panels, Rain Gain products and fabrication of various building solutions with utmost focus on quality, safety and sustained machines’ health. A notable recent achievement we have had was the installation of the Lifestile lines as well as lean manufacturing plant implementation. I am proud to continue sharing knowledge and guiding, Engineers, Supervisors, Operators among others engaged with these manufacturing processes. I am also a SAP- Production Planning (PP) Module Functional Manager responsible for all PP Master Data , PP Licenses & PP Change requests.

As a logistics planner, my primary responsibility is to ensure seamless transportation operations to deliver materials promptly to our construction sites.
I do production planning for pre-engineered buildings, and also perform preventive maintenance on our profilers, ensuring that our machines consistently operate at optimum levels. By proactively maintaining our equipment, I guarantee uninterrupted productivity.

I joined MRM in 2005, initially serving as a fitter/ operator at TCL. Following the completion and commissioning of the pickling line, I was transferred to this new operation. After successfully training my colleagues, I transitioned to an entry operator role. Additionally, I serve as a peer educator, actively promoting awareness about HIV/AIDS and advocating for workplace safety. I am honored to have received the EHS Employee of the Year award, the Best Worker award in my department, and to be recognized as a champion for the “We Listen to Act” initiative. Through various in-house training programs, I have developed proficiency in computer operations, enabling me to perform tasks such as posting reports and more. As an employee of MRM Coated Steel, I take pride in contributing to the Safal Group’s leadership in Building Solutions.

I joined MRM in 2021 as a 6HI Mill Technician, where my primary responsibility is to ensure the production of high-quality coils that meet customer expectations. I have completed various training programs, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and the Technical Development Program (TDP). These training sessions have significantly enhanced my performance, competence, and professional relationships with my colleagues.
I joined MRM in 2012 as a mill operator for both 4Hi and 6Hi. My job entails selecting prime pickled and oiled coils from the pickling line to the mills to be processed to prime CRC coils. I ensure that my upstream customers’ expectations and specifications are met within the required timelines.
I joined MRM Coated Steel back in 2018 as an intern welder fabricator. During that period, I learnt a great deal from my workmates who were open and willing to teach and guide me. I developed an interest in SAP for which I received comprehensive training and thereafter stationed at the Slitting Line where my tasks include posting and packing of coils, slits and ridges. In my new role, our principal guideline calls for Customers’ Priority Orders to be processed and Delivered in Time, keeping in mind ‘FIFO’. I am proud to have been a ‘We Listen to Act’ champion and also for being a recipient of the EHS Employee of the month Award.
I joined MRM in 2017 and have been a dedicated member of our scrap handling team ever since. My primary responsibility is to collect scrap material from across the plant to the yard for proper disposal. I strive to perform my duties with precision and excellence. Additionally, I am honored to have once been named ‘Listen to Act’ champion.
I joined MRM on November 1 2011, as a Roll Grinder operator. My daily routine involves servicing 4Hi and 6Hi work rolls and Back Up rolls to the required SOP standards. I am responsible for ensuring that our 4Hi and 6Hi rolls produce CRC coils that satisfy customer needs and expectations. Additionally, I am a member of the fire marshal team and a safety champion.
